Running slower

Mud on my running shoes

Mud on my running shoes

On today’s run I struggle
to get past the point that
roughly three weeks ago
would have been the
half-way point.

This time it just tells me
that I’m now running farther
than I did on my last run
earlier this week.

I fight myself past 4K,
the target I set for today,
and am glad that I’m
building up distance again
after going through
a steep decline.

And I don’t know where
that sudden lack of
energy came from.
The only thing I can
imagine to have caused it,
it that I reduced
my smoking from
roughly one pack a day to
roughly one cigarette per week.

But that can’t be it, can it?

Ah well, maybe it is.
And then
probably,
I’ll only get out
stronger.

Then I realised,
that maybe, maybe,
the power of dreams
was hiding in my poetry.

And now here it is,
a dream has come true,
my book is published,
and you can buy it, too.

A rainbow in the fountain

A rainbow in the fountain

In the middle of hectic Tsim Sha Tsui
a spot of tranquility hides.
Scultptures, trees and tai chi.
Birds and benches. Turtles in a pond.
And a rainbow in the fountain.

The book is almost ready for publication. In the next few days I expect a final proof to be verified, and after that, the first batch will be ordered. In addition: you will be able to buy the book online.

Only a little more patience, please…

A crocus blooms in our garden

Heralding new life,
announcing spring’s arrival,
croci are blooming.

This does not equal art

Badly drawn and littering on top: not art

Badly drawn and littering on top: not art

Making a badly drawn piece of graffiti
and littering empty spray cans
does not equal art.

It’s vandalism.
