Start with the rubber soles of my Puma
to make a soft stomping base rhythm:
Add to that: the tingle of B’s dog tag and leish:
tingle-tingle tingle-tingle-tingle tingle.
To spice it up, a handful of boot heels,
from a guy walking faster than we do:
Next, a nice swig of occasional noise
from distant traffic in the background:
In go some spoonfuls of
the swelling and fading sound
of a tram passing by in the night:
whuuuuuuuu tadam, tadam, tadam
whuuuuuuuu tadam, tadam, tadam.
While in my mind I hear guitar chords
G, C, Em as they should be played,
and the voice of will.i.am telling me
that tonight’s gonna be a good night,
over and over again.
Mix it al together on a winter night,
out in an otherwise quiet park,
and you have the wonderful
soundtrack of an evening dog walk.
